In this hands-on clay workshop students will learn about animals commonly found in woodland areas like the Walk of Art Park. Using observation, investigation and visual aids they will create imaginary creatures out of clay which will be painted with underglaze, fired and returned to the students the week following the class (specific time and place to be determined).
Students will meet for 2 hours, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., each day for 3 days, Wednesday, July 24 thru Friday, July 26. Sessions will include discussion and demonstration, touring and observing the park, drawing for ideas, and building imaginary creatures out of clay.
The cost is $85 per student.
